When a shopper has made a descision to buy and open his or her wallet, this is best and only opportunity to obtain as much of its contents that you can.

-Lighted base $4.99 each addition $3.99
-Buy a second crystal and recieve a key chain free ( it is cheaper to give something away at times than it is to lower the price on a second item. Be creative.
Note: I was talking to a vender at a 3 day festival who sold the same items I did. We discussed upselling. He was apposed to my methods by saying " but I want to make money on an item"

He sold $2,800 at that show. We sold $6,200 due to display and upselling techniques. He may have made more money on an item, but who do you think made more money. Isn't making money what we are in business for. Not pride or how much we can sell something for. It's the bottom line. How much proffit we earn.
It's not how much money you make on an item, It's how much money you make over all!
UPSELLING TECHNIQUES: STEP BY STEP ( MODIFY FOR OTHER PRODUCTS)
  1. Buyer is looking at or selects a crystal image, rose, glacier.
    1. Sir/Mam allow me to show you that crystal on a lighted stand.
    2. While they are admiring, find there crystal from numbered stock.
    3. Sir/Mam the lighted stands are $5.99 batteries included. 3 batteries alone cost about $3.00 making the cost of the lighted stand only $3.00. Would you like one?
    4. Sir/Mam the first crystal is only $9.99 I want to be shure your aware that you can buy a second crystal for only $7.99 or a second crystal at full price and recieve a free lighted base with batteries. Is there anyone else on your shopping list that might enjoy a crystal image. ( your cost on this upsell is $5.00 , your proffit is $10.00 that you would not have made otherwise)
      Do this 5 times a day for a year. $50.00 times 365 = $18,250 (You get the point )
